GIS Analyst
We are looking for a GIS Analyst with experience in GIS software, map production, spatial analysis, and the processing and interpretation of satellite data. This role is well suited to candidates interested in applying geospatial methods to environmental assessment and emissions-related analysis.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare maps, spatial analysis outputs, and concise analytical reports.
- Work with GIS and Earth observation data to support geospatial assessments.
- Integrate and interpret results from multiple spatial and remote sensing data sources.
- Validate findings using available geodata and open-source reference information.
- Maintain and update internal geospatial databases.
- Assess observation conditions for selected areas using relevant environmental and meteorological factors.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with GIS software such as QGIS, ArcGIS, or similar.
- Experience in map creation and spatial analysis.
- Ability to process and interpret satellite / remote sensing data.
- Understanding of geospatial data formats, attribution, and data quality control.
- Good analytical and reporting skills.
- Interest in environmental intelligence, inventory-related analysis, and greenhouse gas assessment.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Python, SQL, or geospatial scripting.
- Familiarity with environmental, infrastructure, or land-use datasets.
- Interest in applying satellite data to emissions and sustainability topics.
