About AIRMO

AIRMO is a European climate-tech company using space and airborne technologies to monitor greenhouse gas emissions globally. Our instruments — combining LiDAR and hyperspectral imaging — detect and quantify methane and CO₂ emissions from industrial sites, pipelines, and national infrastructure.

We’re building a global monitoring system from air to space, helping energy companies, governments, and investors take real action on climate impact.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Full-Stack Software Developer to continue developing AIRMO's Global Insights Platform, our greenhouse gas emissions intelligence platform. In this role, you will be responsible for both backend and frontend development, designing reliable data workflows, building features end-to-end, and shaping our technology roadmap. You will work with modern cloud infrastructure, geospatial analytics, and AI-powered data pipelines to deliver a high-performance platform with real climate impact. This role offers the opportunity to grow, shape the product, and contribute to meaningful climate impact through technology.

Your Responsibilities in AIRMO

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features for the Global Insights platform
  • Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to integrate Python-based data pipelines (NumPy, AI/ML models, geospatial analytics) into a production-ready application
  • Build clean, well-structured APIs and services (FastAPI) and ensure smooth data flow to the frontend
  • Manage deployments and infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of the platform as the product and user base grows
  • Collaborate in agile workflows, participate in code reviews, mentor juniors, and contribute to engineering best practices
  • Work closely with product and UX to turn complex geospatial datasets and insights into intuitive dashboards and user experiences

What you should bring to AIRMO

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack software development
  • Strong proficiency in Python (3.9+) and experience with backend development, APIs, and data-driven applications
  • Solid knowledge of modern frontend frameworks
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications on GCP or another major cloud provider
  • Strong Git/GitHub skills and experience with CI/CD workflows
  • Understanding of software architecture, clean code principles, testing, and scalability
  • Experience working with data visualization or dashboard-style applications

Nice to have

  • GCP (or other cloud platforms)
  • Geo or Earth Observation data
  • Machine learning or data pipelines
  • Infrastructure-as-code and containerization (Docker)

What We Offer

  • A chance to shape how climate and space technology is communicated globally
  • Direct exposure to founders, investors, and international customers
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid setup
  • A mission-driven, curious, and slightly space-obsessed team
