About AIRMO

AIRMO is a European climate-tech company using space and airborne technologies to monitor greenhouse gas emissions globally. Our instruments — combining LiDAR and hyperspectral imaging — detect and quantify methane and CO₂ emissions from industrial sites, pipelines, and national infrastructure.

We’re building a global monitoring system from ground to space, helping energy companies, governments, and investors take real action on climate impact.

The Role

AIRMO is looking for a hands-on, talented junior Electronics Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and production of our next-generation satellite and airborne electrical systems. You’ll be at the core of our flight hardware — powering payloads, orchestrating system availability, and ensuring rock-solid reliability in space and flight.

Responsibilities:

  • Owns analog/digital electronics around lasers and detectors: low-noise front-end, laser drivers, ADC timing, power.
  • Ensures EMC robustness for industrial environments and manages component lifecycle for production.
  • Defines production test fixtures
  • Key outputs: electronics design/oversight, test jigs, EMC/ESD strategy, reliability and production documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 2+ years of electronics development, preferably in aerospace, robotics, or other high-reliability domains
  • Altium knowledge / equivalent experience
  • Hands-on integration experience with:
    • Power control systems (switches, converters, distribution, metering and protection)
    • Inertial sensors, real-time clocks, environmental sensors
    • Prototype hardware development for field-deployed devices
    • High frequency pulse generation
    • Ideally - fiber laser systems
  • A “hacker” mentality: rapid prototyping, creative problem-solving, and a willingness to dive into firmware, heavy documentation, and debugging
  • Fluency in English

Nice to Have

  • Solid experience designing, manufacturing and testing PCBs for embedded systems (end to end PCBA process)
  • Enthusiasm to learn about the NewSpace or Climate tech

What We Offer

  • A chance to shape how climate and space technology is communicated globally
  • Direct exposure to founders, investors, and international customers
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid setup
  • A mission-driven, curious, and slightly space-obsessed team
  • Employee VSOP program, and other benefits
